
The 30th anniversary of ‘Khan Bahadur Ahsanullah Teachers Training College (KATTC)’, country’s first private teacher training institution, was celebrated on Friday with a day-long colorful event at the campus of Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology (AUST) in capital’s Tenjgaon area.
A discussion meeting was organized on the occasion, which was addressed by AUST Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Muhammad Fazli Ilahi as chief guest with Dhaka Ahsania Mission President Kazi Rafiqul Alam in the chair. Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Digital University Treasurer Professor Dr. Md. Anwar Hossain and former chairman of Dhaka Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board Prof Taslima Begum was present at the meeting as special guests. Professor Fatema Khatun, Principal of Khan Bahadur Ahsanullah Teachers Training College gave welcome speech.
Professor Dr. Muhammad Fazli Ilahi said, through education, one can become an enlightened person by developing his latent intellectual, human and spiritual qualities.
In this era of globalization, there is no substitute for appropriate institutionalized education and teachers’ training to maintain quality and excellence in education. It is to be noted that ‘Khanbahadur Ahsanullah Teachers Training College’ was established in 1992 under the initiative of Dhaka Ahsania Mission. Since its inception, the institution has been providing quality education by ensuring a fair, beautiful and educational environment.
